heading out to berlin in a few days and wanted to get some recs for some pre-race restaurants for an americanized diet. unfortunately it doesn't look like there's an olive garden.

Pomme frittes mit mayo
There will be other marathons, so if you mess up your race it's no big deal. But do not return from Berlin without trying Döner kebap.
Berlin's a huge city and you can find just about anything you want. Before your race you won't be able to eat much that's interesting anyway. But afterward, trust me about the kebap. And then go to a bakery and order one of everything.

Ya vol, bratwurst, sauerkraut win bier!
Big servings of spaetzl!
Dude, you're going in a few days and you didn't plan this out?
1. Cook up some pasta and pancakes and anything else you enjoy, place in sealed containers. Place containers in backpack with some ice (packs) or frozen anything (ie veggies). get hotel fridge and eat.
2. If you don't like that idea, there must be some Italian restaurants in Berlin, no?
3. Do both.
You are welcome.

We have doner in the big US cities here too.
OP... Eat a Bretzel with butter. Carbs and sodium for the win. Just one of these huge pretzels powered my wife for an Ironman race
Plenty of Italian places to get pasta. Last year I ate at a small restaurant near Checkpoint Charlie. Interesting that the line on the ground following the path of the Berlin Wall was right there. If I crossed the street I would have crossed the old wall.

Spätzle is a South-German dish, but try it if you find it in a Berlin restaurant (ask for käse spätzle!)
You might like this place Grand Rocka in Hackescher Markt in Mitte. Has a selection of everything that you might be used to (pizza, pasta, hamburger and fries). And it has curry doner (not the best). Have visited here a couple of times and is a fun location.
But honestly Berlin is an international city and has everything including local specialties. Live a little.
Moran, how do you think he’s getting to Berlin? I’m guessing via plane and you can’t take ice through security.
That’s a stupid idea to say the least.
Currywurst + Red Bull = PR
Germany?
Wiener schnitzel, or course.
Some thick sausages.
Sausage. Beer. Pretzel. Same meal. Will give you plenty of energy for the race.
