Next week is our first meet, actually we have two meets including an invitational during the weekend. I ran good mileage over the summer, peaked at 60 miles in a week for a bit. But during team practice I’ve been struggling to get in high mileage. We have been starting some speed work, which I know is good. I did some quality runs over the summer, like tempos fartleks and some hills. Anyways I was wondering if dropping down to 30-35 miles per week until the cross country season ends and I can start building up again in winter sounds good? I know it’s only half of my highest mileage but it’s easier to do that with more fast runs while we have races so often.
