Did Parker Stinson just throw down 35k on dirt roads at altitude @ 5:12 pace (source: instagram post by Brad Hudson) That’s only 7k short of of a 2:16 marathon.. Chicago Predictions? He’s clearly fit to run something stupid and maybe tango with the big boys.
I am a fan of stinson , and that is a killer workout, but he's not ready to "tango with the big boys" I hope and think he can he run amazing for an American though. (2:10-11)
Parker did a similar workout last December in Sacramento, except it was during CIM.

I've been saying this for awhile now, but Stinson is crazy fit. He's not going to compete with Galen or Mo but he could drop a 2:09 if he has a good day. He's stated that sub-2:11 is the goal, and he now knows he could probably do better than that.
He's also got a more than legit shot of making the 2020 Olympic Team...
I stopped being a fan when he left Baywatch.
I'm a little more optimistic, but Parker is also still figuring out the marathon.

HAHAHA exactly. Look to see the same mistake happen again. At least this time it's because he'll know he blew his wad during a 35k workout. Remember that Dathan always had great workouts with Hudson, but never typically "raced up" to the hype.

This is racing not training, hope he runs great but this type of training leaves the athlete over trained and stale come race day.
Nobody says this sort of thing when Kipchoge does it. He'll run this long, a bit faster, and at like 47,000 foot altitude, and it seems to work for him.
Stinson hit the wall last time around. Maybe this is the long run he'll need. That's all this is.

Kipchoge does not run faster than that. See below his training leading up to Berlin last year.

I ran 10K easy this morning. I'm not comparing myself to Kipchoge, but I see that he's done that, too.
In fact, I bet I ran 10k easy before Kipchoge ever ran 10K easy. He's copying me, clearly.
