radiology is great. you can make as much or as little as you want. you can work as much (interventional radiology) or as little as you want. very few lawsuits (mammograms excluded). derm is as good as it sounds, but you will have to give your firstborn to get in if that's what you're really interested in. not much to it once you're in- interstingly enough, my girlfriend is also a derm resident- if it's wet put something dry on it- if it's dry, put something wet on it- if you don't klnow what it it, then cut it off. no weekends. no middle of the night shit. no one bleeds to death in front of you. anaesthesia is primo for time as well as renumeration. again though, if youi like action, then don't do it. surgeons will treat you like you're a lesser being. lots of sitting and watcvhing monitors- of course you can always branch into pain management and deal with back pain all f***ing day. beautiful fotr lifestyle though. realize that getting into the specialties of radiology and ESPECIALLY derm are not easy. in fact, derm and opthalmology are hard as shit. no one cares about your high school stuff- it's certainly top notch- don't get me wrong- but they look at your grades from DAY ONE of college. remember to have fun, dude. don't drive yourself crazy. college is about findiong out who you are as much as what you want to do with your life. best of luck.
