It looks like Carter Christman is now on UOs roster. Congrats to him but I have to admit that I'm a little sad to UOs hopes of winning NIRCA vanish.

Anyone see the southeast men’s results? NC State winning with 20 points? That region must be trash. Good luck when you get to nationals, wolfpack
Southeast region is usually one of the weaker regions, but NC State has a solid group this year based on racing against them and results.

Speaking of nationals, has anyone seen the course yet? If so, can you give a rundown of what it looks like and what its racing tendencies are (hilly, flat, open to wind, typically strung out, typically run in tight packs, etc)?
(Assuming the course doesn't change from 2015)
Rolling hills. Super fast 1st mile due to it being downhill (and over-excitement from runners). Not an "easy" course, but also possible to run a decent time if you can handle some hills.
Penn State women are going 1-5 at nats. You heard it here first.

Totally not happening, MRun is too good not to break it up.... Btw where is Katelyn McCracken??

adding to this. the finish has a 800-1k gradual uphill leading into it.
Yeah, no. Their Top 5 were spread out over the first 27 places at Regionals so....no.

I was just made aware that Nathan Kwan is still a student and UC Davis is really good again. I need to put more thought into this.
To anyone racing NE regionals: I have shin splints in one shin? please go easy on me ?

Yeah in 2015 I ran the first mile 20s from my mile PR like an idiot. I agree it is not a PR course but it is not overly challenging. Rolling hills. Open/Open to wind. I ended up slowing to 29:30s but this was three weeks after a 28:17 and I got sick the week of Nationals. I wrote in my training log 40s slower due to course, 40s slower do to other (sickness and lacking training).
Hope that helps some, certainly not a course to be afraid of, best of luck

Agree on women's side: UC Davis looks strong too. Will revise after this weekend's Pacific Regionals.
look to first-year team BC to make some waves in the Northeast Regional. Team is still building up but has some solid depth on the guys side & talented frontrunners on the girls side too

Anyone know how tough the course was for Pacific Regionals/how the conditions were?
What about for the Northeast Region? (I heard it was a nightmare, and based on the times it looks like it)
Maryland's got the depth. you got slick boi Ryun Anderson out front with sly dawgs Colin SyBing and Mitch Welter in tow. rest of the crew not far out of sight from them. fresh legs and you've got MD flirting from #8-10 , inclusive.
Shannon McMaster of MD for a top 5 finish in Lexington is my prediction. podium potential.
Georgetown's got wildcard thiccmans Eric Diestelow for likely yet another individual 1st team all-american finish. Maggie McDermott's gonna tear up the women's side. top 10 if she keeps with the lead pack.
you can't buy DD like this

Crystal Springs is pretty hilly. Conditions were good (maybe a little warm for the women's race). Most men who ran at the Bronco Invite two weeks earlier were about 1-1.5 minutes slower at Regionals.
