I'm really surprised at that my 10k pb is 35:35 but I've hit 2:20 in training. I don't even do that much speedwork the shortest distance I've ever raced is 5k.
No one is saying the 10km isn't legit.
But a 33 minute 10km runner can probably run 2:21 in his last repeat of a 8 x 800m workout. Even a very aerobic oriented runner can run at least 2:10 with that 10k time.
To the OP: The veredict? You probably can chop 12 seconds easily if you spike up and enter a track race right now.
