Does anyone else check weather.com daily and get pissed off because it's colder than it's supposed to be?
All of February I would just think, "I just have to wait until March. Once March hits, average temperatures are in the low 40's."
But NO, it's in the freaking mid-20's here (I'm in the Northeast).

While I don't check the weather everyday, I probably should! On Saturday in Toronto it was warm and sunny and I felt over dressed on a 20 miler. At 5am on Monday morning I headed out for my Monday morning shake out 12 miler and damn near froze my ass off (-36c with the wind chill)!! I've had it, one more week and I'm moving to the South Pacific, I swear!!!

I wish ,it was the mid 20's this morning. My 6AM run had me out in the mid 0's. I look at it this way - Yes, the weather sucks now, but I'll be just as miserable (if not more) in another few months when it gets near near 80 and the humidity starts kicking in. Quit whining and deal with it.
They can't relate. Most people's only experience with weather is when they walk from their house to the car, from the car into the place they work, then reverse the order 8 hours later. Ah, modern life....I'd rather be dead.
When I walk into work on a -10F morning, my coworkers stop complaining long enough to ask if I ran that morning. If I said yes, they usually don't complain anymore.
Yes it sucks. I'm starting to think it will be like last year's spring here (MI). 30 deg one day, 80 the next, then 30 again 2 days later.

I'm with you man. Monday morning here it was 9 degrees in Central Ohio. Normal is low-mid 40s for the high.
Hopefully the extra cold long winter will keep the summer bugs down.
Got a group run tonight in the Chicago area. Wind is supposed to be 15 MPH and we're expecting up to a foot of snow before morning. Oh well, it will make the beers afterwards at JJ Twiggs taste sweeter.
I don't let the weather decide what I'm going to do.

It's been in the mid 50's to low 60's lately here in CA. I guess that's why my rent is so high. It's worth it though, the trails are all in great shape for running as long as you want to go.

Seriously though, I am glad to see others slightly dis-gruntled with the weather. It has been a little harsher then normal and my attitude is very bad! Just have to keep trudging thru it I guess.
Yeah, it's definitely 72F here tomorrow. And it's definitely -20C tomorrow in Canada. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

It is winter. You'll be fresher for the spring and summer. I think all runners are too anal (incliding myself). All that fussin' about the weather won't do anything for you except give you high levels of cortisol.

Whiners! It's 14 F and snowing here in Colorado, and I just enjoyed a little run. It's okay to complain about mid 20s when it's tax day or so, but we're still in winter. Get this. In Anchorage AK they had to move the start of the Iditarod to Fairbanks for the first time in 30 years, and they cancelled last weekends Tour of Anchorage ski race. Now THAT would be something to complain about.

skylon, Most of January and early February the cold and wind were definitely brutal. Where do you live in Jersey. I live in central Jersey nearby the Raritan River towpath. Actually, the weather over the past week has been better. The frustrating part is that the snow has covered the towpath for almost a month now.
I'm up in Morris County right on the border of Sussex County (by Lake Hopatcong). Lots of trails up here, totally useless since Dec. I've biked on the towpath down by you, am considering heading down that way for some nice flat long runs when the weather clears up. In the meantime, either I run from my office in Denville or I'm on the treadmill.
As much as this weather sucks, I'll be wishing for this come a humid 95 degree July day in Chicago. At least when it is 20 degrees, you can bundle up. Drops another 10 degrees, add another layer. Once it is 95 and you have been running in nothing but shorts and shoes for the past 20 degrees, not much you can do.
That being said, I really wish it was 55 degrees, overcast, and not windy.
