It's not a bad idea. I see teams going for morning runs every year on the day of the state meet and those races are morning to early afternoon.
Yes. Or No. It depends. It's different for everybody. You've got to experiment to see what works and then keep refining it.
If you decide to run the shakeout, keep it very light, short, and easy. 10-15 minutes tops.
For me, no. I do that the day before.
