LRers--
Hoping for a hand planning out a fall marathon. In my mid-20s, have run two marathons so far in 2:27:33 and 2:26:11. I’m hoping to run 2:24-25 this fall, but haven’t lined up a race yet.
My hometown race has been great to me and usually takes care of bottles and startline, in part because I know the organizers, but it’s in October. I hurt my knee in March and only got back to proper training in June. Realistically, I need to find a November race, but the pickings seem slim for somebody at my level.
New York would be tough for a second (or third?) tier athlete like myself to get anywhere near the start and Philadelphia hasn’t responded to my outreach. CIM would be great, but I have a family wedding that weekend. Any suggestions would be very much welcome. Am willing to travel and am willing to jump in a relatively small race, if there’s a possibility of getting bottle services.
For reference, my other PBs are as follows:
Half-marathon: 1:08:03
10km road: 30:33
10,000m track: 30:52
5km road: 15:00
5,000m track: 14:42
3,000m track: 8:26
Would appreciate any suggestions!
