A British 1500m runner from El G's generation was invited to Morocco to train with them. He went out there and returned having spent time training with them that they were all doping. This guy was world class and said he could t even begin to be competitive in the training as the recovery day on day was ridiculous. Only one way they could be recovering like that.
3:31 athlete John Mayock was invited to Ifrane for training with Hicham's group 1 month.

John Mayock beats Hicham El Guerrouj is not a result you would expect, but it has happened several times already this year.
At least it has according to Mayock, who returned to Doncaster this week after 28 days training in the Atlas mountains with Morocco's world record holder for 1500 metres and the mile.
"I dropped him on training runs a few times," said Mayock, Britain's top 1500m runner for the past six years. "Mind you, I had to be careful the next day, otherwise I'd be made to suffer."
Mayock took up El Guerrouj's invitation to work with him at the camp in the village of Ifrane because he wanted to improve his training prior to his move up to 5,000m for the world championships in Edmonton in August.
"What I saw out there opened my eyes," Mayock admitted. "They trained hard twice a day and would regularly run 10 miles in 50 minutes, including a 10km section in the middle in under 29 minutes, a time only a handful of British runners can manage. But I had to stay with them because they knew the way and I didn't."
El Guerrouj made all the arrangements, including an apartment, cook and regular visits to a Turkish bath. It gave Mayock a taste of how his rival is able to focus completely on his running. "He doesn't have to worry about going to Sainsbury's, the mortgage, fixing the car," Mayock said. "Everything is spoon-fed. He's just absolutely huge in Morocco, as big as David Beckham is here."
Mayock, 30, will have an early opportunity to assess the success of the trip when he races Kenya's Noah Ngeny over a mile in Stockholm next Thursday and then 1500m in the Norwich Union grand prix at the national indoor arena in Birmingham on Sunday week.
Ngeny stunned El Guerrouj in the Sydney Olympics when he won the 1500m gold medal ahead of the Moroccan, one of the major upsets in the history of the games.
Revenge on behalf of his friend gives Mayock an extra incentive to beat Ngeny. But El Guerrouj has warned that Mayock may not see the benefit of his hard training until the world indoor championships next month in Lisbon, where he will be running the 3,000m, the distance at which he won the European indoor title in 1998. "El Guerrouj said I should get a medal there."
