Can it be done?
I ran 1:45 last year on 25 mpw, some hills, no speedwork and I hadn't run in a few years. That's a slow-ish 8:04 pace. And 5 hours of sleep. Busy lifestyle; I want to do a full when time permits next spring, so a fall half is what I can do right now.
With better mileage and longer duration of training (19 weeks instead of 14 last year), can I shoot for 1:40 on 30-40, or should I hit 45? I am not at the point where I can hit 50 yet.
I am also doing some more speedwork, but nothing major (4x1000 or 4x1200 sessions at the track once a week).
Long run last year was 10 and I did fine on 13.1, but should I kick it up to 12 or 14?
