I ran 40 mpw all year and 30-35 mpw during track. I went 4:44 in the 1600. I am peaking at around 65-70 mpw this summer and averaging about 55-60. My workouts are: long run (13 miles), tempo run (5-6 miles), medium long run (10), hills or threshold. I have already responded very well to this mileage. Last 4th I did a local race for fun as training and PR'd by 10 seconds. I did not feel like I pushed as hard as a race. Assuming that I continue to progress properly, could I run around 4:10 in the mile by senior year?
If it matters, my 3 closest teammates are under 4:30. The 2 fastest have PRs of 4:16 and 4:22. We train together a lot and all run about the same mileage and do the same workouts, but I am a year younger than them, so I assume I could get to that level eventually.
