Is Abbey D'Agostino update?

For some reason, her case seems more tragic than the typical injury -- I guess because we all saw it happen in competition -- and then watched her suffer through the rest of the race. She seemed to be on her way to stardom before and may never be the same. Hope I'm wrong. She was my favorite runner to follow for a few seasons.

She was not the same going into the games, made the team finishing fifth, a couple opted out. Was starting to have issues then, only gotten worse since.

She announced on her instagram back in May that she "shut it down for the season due to [her] plantar continuing to worsen and sabotage fitness." She updated her instagram on June 12 saying how "treating [her] foot, updating [her] strength program &, as best [they] can, understanding the root of this injury cycle" and "addressing weaknesses & imbalances, etc, identifying mistakes in [her] buildup"

But in the next month, she's getting married. She'll be Abbey Cooper.

Abbey Cooper. What a sweet, all-American, girl-next-door-in-a-movie name.

I wonder if she has a daughter someday if she will name her Alice.
