While I don't think you need to race every race the way Berian does, the sit-and-kick garbage is a major turn-off. The Africans actually run to win and run as fast as they can, a novel concept in our increasingly lazy, corner-cutting country. Most of our runners are soft as wet bread.

True and I think this may have been a season’s best for him. 1:47 in late June when you’re a 1:43 guy? Yikes. Hope he gets back to 2015/2016 fitness soon.
