IL had the best group of HS distance guys this year. Iowa has the best group of professional distance women, Houlihan, Schweizer, and Simpson. The 10k NCAA record is held by Lisa Kohl from Iowa.

California obviously is the best because of how many people live there. Per capita, Utah is likely near the top.

Also, Jared Ward, Ben Saarel, Casey Clinger, Like Puskedra, Rory Linkeletter, and numerous others competed in Utah in high school. Utah could definitely be better on the sprinting side of things.

Utah is only 1/3 of the size of new jersey. Imagine if the talent in Utah was tripled
