It was so over. Down like 10 meters with 30 to go and they win 4x400 and the meet.

Any protest should be decided within 2 minutes if our sport is legit.
Every other sport decides stuff while fans watch.
That was great racing. Shouldn't be a DQ but I bet they DQ her.
Amazing race! And I hate the protest. It’s way overused.
They were both battling for inside position and kendall won, simple as that.
The protest means nothing. it's not like it will give them the trophy.
What a freaking run.
Kendall vs Syd for years to come.... I think Kendall might just be more of a beast.

They weren't battling for position. She shoved her way into the spot. Means DQ
If there is a dq , our sport is a joke. And if georgia protest again like they did last year when they didnt even have anyone in the race they should be ashamed.
Rubbin is racing. Incredible. Incredible.
*pending protest
Contact is considered "incidental". USC wins it!

While I agree with you in spirit, rules are rules. Teams have every right to use the rules.
But, I agree. Contact rules/DQs/false starts are incredibly stupid.
Well wow...
NO way the USC anchor was going to close.
Go Dawgs still!
PS Wejo, your spam detector stinks. I reply to YOUR message and it gets blocked because of your stupid exclamation points.

yeah you should be able to push people, trip them, get them out of your way in any way possible just to win a race. No one should ever be disqualified from a race for any reason. Anything goes at all times!

And you should be able to start the race before the gun goes off just because you feel like it! Just because you start before the gun doesn't mean you had any kind of an advantage!
Guessing the above is a disgruntled Dawg fan? What a friggin finish!! EPIC!!!! And no, I didn't have a dog in this race, just a fan.

I mean I'd hope you didn't have a dog in the race because all I saw were humans... must be one either really small or really ugly dog

Not a Georgia fan. I just get tired of all the people who think that no one should ever be disqualified from a track race. If you interfere with another runner or run inside the rail on a curve or out of your lane on a curve you should be disqualified. If you false start you should be disqualified. Period. Some idiots on here actually think people should be given time penalties or forced to start a race x meters behind the actual start line for violations of the rules. That is ridiculous. You break the rules and you should be disqualified from the race.
I don’t understand why anyone thinks there should or would be a DQ. If anything the Kentucky runner attempted to impede the USC runner by cutting her off. If you actually watched the race you see Kentucky was never clear of USC so USC had the right to pass on the inside. Any contact was initiated by the Kentucky runner.
In other words, the USC runner’s stride was always next to the Kentucky runners body. That’s why the Kentucky runner didn’t close the door. Because if she did, she’d have pushed USC off the track. It sounds like you guys have never ran a track race and I know the brojos have.
Fight On
Unbelievably awesome and essentially a meaningful version of the UCC From the Depths of Hell from a couple of years ago.
The Purdue choker deserved it, based on the potty mouthed reaction as soon as she crossed the finish line and realized what happened.
As a USC alum I was thinking prior to the race that second was likely in the relay due to the presence of Kentucky. Once their lead wobbled around the track and left Sydney too much to do I was incredulous that it was all set up yet somehow Purdue was going to steal it.
No question that's not a disqualification. USC would have screamed as loud as the football sanctions if somehow that had been taken away. The Kentucky anchor could have closed it off but drifted to the outside of the lane, for whatever treason. Great job by Ellis to use a big horse racing day and steal the inside path like Calvin Borel in his prime.
At least Georgia didn't have to file the protest this time and look like beggars. No doubt they would have done it if Kentucky had passed.
Is "god" a swear? Just write "gosh"

If you get a speeding ticket you should go to prison for a full year.
Purdue girl didn’t choke, she had the fastest anchor split besides Ellis. Ellis was 2 seconds faster than almost every other leg in the race besides Sydney McLaughlin. That’s what made it incredible.
