I used to like this guy. Major ESPN personatity who used to be a track guy. Now he feels the need to crack one or two jokes EVERY time they go to him. He's more sarcatic than my dad.

I couldn't agree more. He acts like he's trying out to host a cheap gameshow. DUDE STOP!!!
He did it again.
Let's start a drinking game and see what he does the rest of the way out.
200m Interview: Started off with a sarcastic comment.
Ended with one as well. So that's 2.
I would lose on purpose to avoid having to speak to him afterwards.

Update: Women's heptathlon- started off with a pun about Georgia winning and some weird comment about the winner looking famished. Ends with a joke about State Street in Madison. That's anotehr 2 jokes in my book.
Dwight Stones now just pushed back at Anderson. I think he's getting sick of him too.

Downside: I died of alcohol poisoning after 3 events.
Upside: I am dead and no longer need to hear John Anderson ever again.

I'm sorry to hear your dad is suffering from sarcatica.
I can't be 100% critical.
I'm glad he pushed back against Lananna on Hayward. "I don't want a spaceship here"

I feel I'm watching Wipeout on ABC post race interviews.
So I'm interviewing all these athletes here, and guess what: All of them are tired. Why are they all so tired??? ???
Imagine working hard for your entire life and winning a NCAA title and your reward is having to humor John Anderson's dad jokes while you struggle to breathe.
I'm surprised ESPN doesn't let Anderson run alongside the athletes during the races so he can offer a full stream of conscience experience.
I actually like the jokes. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next

Yeah. It would be much better for endless "what does this win mean for you?" questions by the interviewer.
He's good and you should get a sense of humor along with the rest of the dweebs in this thread.

Agreed. Literally no point in doing an interview if all you're going to say is "how does it feel to win a national championship?" Umm, I think we're all aware that the answer is going to be some variation on "good," so can we just skip the question all together?
The typical sports interview consists of nothing but questions that we already know the answers to. Almost anything is an improvement on that.
I love John Anderson's questions. He's great, keeps it light, has fun. It's a track meet not an analyst Q&A after a company releases their annual report.
You track nerds are the worst.
