Karissa loses it in the final 400 due to a slightly crooked head to the right... Only if a coach could have fixed the head angle slightly we may have saw a different result...

Something is off with her stride. If she wasn't (one) of the best runners in the NCAA a coach would demand she fix her stride. She looks so inefficient.
But I can't quite figure it out. It looks like one side drags more than the other.
She got cooked. Couldn't hold her form together. It will be interesting to see what happens Saturday.
It was a tough race and she was trying something new. No shame in losing if you break the meet record.
It looked like she was running with a leg cramp the last lap.

Hot damn she's a cute one though. That smile is infectious.
Hey! It’s Hannah. Hannah Baker. Don’t adjust your… whatever device you’re hearing this on. It’s me, live and in stereo. No return engagements, no encore, and this time, absolutely no requests. Get a snack. Settle in. Because I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended.
She had an off race, just like at xc nationals. It doesn’t help her with her contract that she will be signing. Had she run away from the field and gotten a great interview, it probably would have been worth a few more bucks. She needs to do it in the 5k now but that will be tough with a few of the fresh runners.
Pretty good result for first year of running the 10k.
I have a bad feeling about the 5000 for her.
This is the NCAA's fault for all runners -
Absolutely stupid to race 10,000m last week and come back a week later an race 10,000m again.
There should be no 10,000m Regional races. It should all be based on time performance (Top 24) just like how it was in the past and how it is done in NCAA D2 right now. Of course Karissa is surprised her body falls apart on her unexpectedly. The body is trashed on a physiological level. And it's not just Karissa, it's all the Men and Women that attempt this double/triple, etc.
Wake up, NCAA.
You realize that having to run multiple races favors the best runners because they don't have to work as hard to advance?
Karissa obviously doesn't handle pressure well. Her only National win was when she was not favored.

this is 100% false
I thought she looked like she was hurt.

Considering she's won 5 NCAA titles, I'm curious as to which one of those you consider her "only national win".

You're an idiot.

Don’t worry, Alberto’s gonna fix her right up after she joins NOP..
I have seen her run enough times to know that something wasn't right. Hoping she bounces back in her 5k. I don't think she will be spent if it was really something temporary.
It seems like tomorrow's 5k just got a lot more interesting. Because Karissa (assuming she's ok/not injured after last night) will be even more driven & the other women have likely gained some confidence that she might be beatable if she is, indeed, tired. I am very curious as to where she'll end up, pro-wise. I'm thinking she'll be a Bowerman Babe but that's just a guess
Karissa is a fantastic runner, whose best event seems to be the 5,000.
Regarding her stride, she’s not as fluid as most, but it works for her. One thing I’ve noticed - she appears to have a posterior pelvic tilt as she runs, and leans back slightly in her posture. At what point do you decide things like that are/aren’t worth fixing, especially when the runner is so successful? Everyone is built differently, and our strides are all unique because of that.
