What did Stember exactly mean by this:

what he meant was that some high ups in usatf were planning to send webb to world indoors to win the us a gold medal if no one got the 3:43.9 standard. it's a shame that lunner and pretty boy got it cuz now we have to have guys who actually have a chance in tactical races rather than a guy like webb (who obviously is a world beater right now) go race in birmingham for our country. oh well, maybe next time usatf can tell everyone beforehand that "you only go to worlds if you beat alan webb, by the square root of your birthyear, in seconds." that way we can keep pandering to this second coming of ryun who will save american track and field. hooray!!!
gave me a thought though...square root of my birthyear in seconds..square root of my birthyear? man, that's 9.19 seconds! Crazy, not even El-Guerrouj would beat him by that much.
