If I was shooting for a sub 3 hour marathon what paces do I need to use for Pete Pfitzinger's vo2 max, lactate threshold, medium long runs, general aerobic, long run, and recovery runs? I plan on doing the 18/87 program. thanks in advance

Pfitzinger's training paces are based on current fitness, not goal time. Do you have any recent race results?
His book includes charts and descriptions of the various paces. But I generally plug a recent race result into Daniels' VO2max calculator to determine most of the training paces.
The long run and easy pace are a little more subjective, with a wider range.
Not good at math, what?
These are just based on the %s he gives relative to MP. So....
MP: 6:50
Long run: 7:30 – 8:10
Medium long: similar to long run
General aerobic: 7:50 – 8:30
LT: 15K – HM pace
VO2: 5K pace
Recovery: near or slower than 8:00-ish

haha yea kinda. and I have heard multiple people saying different things so I was going to get the average of what people say. Really want to hit that sub 3 so I want to make sure I am doing everything right. thanks!
I'm also not good at math.... 2:46 pace please?
