Depends on who is doing the calculations. Could be just under 8:50 at 8:49.94 using one conversion tool.
A great get for Gonzaga!
Won by almost 20 seconds. Probably worth 8:40-ish at an Arcadia-type race with people pushing him. Anyone seen an entry list for Brooks PR?

For the Zags, yes. Not sure that it was the best choice for Mwaura though and his development. He needs teammates that can push him and help him grow. What happens after the 1st year or 2? He will be training on his own.

I have not and when I checked their website a few days ago there was nothing there, not even an event schedule. For being such a highly competitive meet the promoting of it is really lacking.
I do know that Titus Winders of Henry County, TN is coming out to run the 3200 where he has a PB of 8:52

It sure is! Does Gonzaga have an indoor track?
Jacob McLeod from GA also 8:52 pr will be there
LOL! They don't even have an outdoor track let alone an indoor one!

Wow! Did not know that. Wonder what got him to decide on the Zags over many other schools. Pat Tyson?

Yup, which means this kid is another high school stud that will never PR again.
Can’t be the location either can it? Spokane and Eastern Washington aren’t really anything to write home about are they?

Well, could he run another 19 metres in 4 seconds?
That's 5:39 mile pace, of course he could. Sub-9 easily...

Pfft. Me and Frank will figure how this caper was pulled off. Push comes to shove we'll ask Biff Hooper and maybe even CHief Collig for help.

This is ignorance at it’s finest. What world do you live in? Gonzaga had 4 steeplechasers at NCAA’s 1st round and an All American in Troy Fraley just last year and a couple more in 1500. 10 years ago Gonzaga had never had anyone under 14:30 or qualified anyone to the 1st round. These are kids who came from all different talent ranges. Gonzaga does more with what they get than 90% of programs in NCAA. Pat Tyson will look after this kid and make sure he succeeds. This is the best possible choice for James. Well done James and happy running at GU!
Hahahaha... O K is a complete racist JOKE!!

No, no, that's Portland. Where kids go to run LOT'S of miles and never be heard of again.
BREAKING: Leonard Korir not going to Paris! 11 Universality athletes get in ahead of him!
Hicham El Guerrouj is back baby! Runs Community Mile in Oxford
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
What is the most stupid running advice you've ever heard?🤣(It can be funny)
Are Asics, Saucony, and New Balance envious of Brooks, Hoka ,and On?
