Brooks Ghost 10 or Nike Pegasus 34 or Nike Pegasus 35

Honestly the 33s are the way to go. The 35s might be a bit better but the 33s are like 70 bucks rn at nike clearance stores. If it was the 35 or 34 go witht the 35 just bc it has a full lenghth zoom unit. Unless you are a 40 year old mom planning on wearing a costume during your race dont get ghost.

The 35 sucks because of that booty construction. Feels cheap. Already returned.

The ghost is the best training shoe out there now and it's not close. Brooks had to push up the release of the next ghost because they cannot produce enough Ghost 10s to satisfy the demand.

Ghost won't last you as many miles as Pegasus. Ghost runs great for like 250 miles then it starts to go down hill quick. Pegasus will get to the same point at around 400.

Weird, my Ghosts have been my most durable shoes. I've gotten 450-500 in three pairs.

You can get Peg 33's for way less than $70 at a nike outlet store. I just bough 4 pairs for like $40 a piece. Nike often has $5 and $10 off coupons if you search around.

What is your running form? Have you ever been coached specifically on your side-length, center of mass, and/or footstrike? I ask because both of those shoes have a connotation of being lazy runner shoes. The one thing I wish I was taught in high school was how to run well and not fast. I recommend you try out among other shoes Hoka Hupanas; Saucony Kinvaras or Freedom ISOs; or Newton Gravities, Distances, or Fates. There are other great shoes out there for working on form. Most of the new New Balances, Hanzos, 1500s, 1400s (pushing it), Zantes are also good for working on form. I am assuming a lot here but in my opinion if you keep running in the two shoes you listed you'll eventually realize that you need to change your running style.

I'm currently running in the New Balance Leadville, and they get hot as I run. I haven't heard much about the other shoes that you previously mentioned but I am interested in checking them out. Also what other types of running forms are there, I haven't been ever coached on that stuff specifically but I am interested in finding out

Are the ghost and pegasus intended for a specific running form? I've noticed in this thread how some people have better experiences with the pegasus than others, and vice versa with the ghost

Brooks all day every day. I personally think that the Pegasus is the most over hyped shoe over, it is terrible. It has a huge heel to toe drop, there is very little forefoot cushioning, and it is expensive.

Just had a look at these boats and I can see where this is coming from. Do you have to have reached a certain level of obesity to benefit from running in the Brooks?

The Ghost 10s are the best running shoes I have ever owned. They can do everything from fast track workouts, long runs, and even races (I ran my 800 PR of 2:08 in them). I ran in the Pegasus before I bought the Ghosts and I constantly had problems. Just my 2 cents.

Loved the Peg 33s. I recently grabbed a few pairs of 34s and don't like the upper as much, but it's also solid. I can't speak to the Ghost.
