Athlete 1: 5'10" | 195 lbs | 400: 48.2 | 200: 21.9
Athlete 2: 6' 2" | 170 lbs | 1500: 3:56 | 800: 1:54 | 400: 51
Who wins a 600 and how easily, Athlete 1 or Athlete 2?

Sprinter wins unless he is the lazy kind
800 too slow for athlete 2. 1 takes the cake
Am I the only one that thinks this sprinter would be considered better than this middle distance runner?
Athlete 1 could come through the 400 in 51 relatively comfortable. Where athlete 2 has a 400 pr of 51.
I think if athlete 2 had an 800 pr of 1:52 or lower, it would be interesting.
Yeah gotta go athlete 1. Athlete 2 just doesn't have the speed to keep up. Athlete 1 could like come through in 51-52 smooth and still finish in a 30 for a 121 or so maybe 122. Im not convinced a 154 guy could come through in say 53 high and run a 27-28 with the first 400 being so close to their max. Gotta go athlete 1

Is there any other kind?
Why is the mid-distance runner so fat?
athlete 2 could go, in the 800, in 55 for the first lap and still be smooth to run in 59. I think that 53.5 and then a 28 could be normal for that athlete-->1.21.5 (consider that in the 800 he should be there in 1.24)
For the sprinter I don't think I have the "skills" to try the prediction

I'd think athlete two could run 1:22 at least. Possibly even faster. Athlete one would still win if he paces himself correctly, but if this is the first time both athletes run the 600m, I might honestly pick the mid distance guy.
