So my gym bought a few Curve treadmills and put them next to the regular ones. I decided to give it a shot since it’s been raining so much recently.
The basic premise is the deck is bowl shaped so as your point of impact hits further up, the longer the stride and the faster it goes. It’s entirely propelled by you rather than a motor.
I tried it and hated it. I stuck it out for 2 miles, but my pace was all over the board because my feet kept landing in different spots I guess. I’d literally fluctuate between 5 and 11 mph in a matter of steps for what felt like no reason.
Anybody like these? Is this just a gimmick?
