Saruni Loses at Conference USA Championships

I wouldn't read anything into it. Why bust his ass at a meet that is really not that important, as long as he and his teammate maximize the points in each event?

Dude just jogged a 1:48, went 1-2 with his teammate to get through conference without working too hard. Pretty good day if you ask me. He jogged from 0-600 then ran for about 150m before cruising the last 50.

Is there footage of the 1500? curious how relaxed he looks running 3:50 as a 43sec 400m runner (relay split)

Last lap of the 1500 here. Saruni was in last place at the bell; looked very relaxed to me.

Correct.

Clearly just wanted to score 1-2 points - didn't seem to care if he or his teammate won.

In the 800 its very obvious that he eases down the last 50...Probably could've caught him if he wanted. In the 1500, and not really any indication he's going FTW. I wouldn't read much into either race. Besides that his teammate could be a factor because that's a pretty nice double.
