I ran a hilly half yesterday, hard enough to surprisingly cause moderate quad problems that are typical after a full marathon.
I was running 50-60 miles per week for many months, including five long runs of three hours with some tempo segments in the second half of those runs. I was planning to run a full marathon but realized the last two weeks that the result would be sloooow.
Recommendations appreciated for recovery strategies to get back to the training described above.
