Here's the deal. Let me elaborate on this.
I'm fully aware that coaches are not supposed to pound their athletes the day before a race. If a runner wants to hurt himself the day before a race, then that's his own fault. However, I feel like a coach should allow their runners to go with the flow, and if they are feeling it, then just let them be. Let them roll with it and it will probably benefit them in the long run.
Running is a lot like life. We need to let the good times roll, because there aren't many good times in life anyways. I'm also aware that some coaches want the last set or the last rep to be the fastest, physiologically speaking.
I'm just just really against negative coaches who put limitations on their athletes and tell them to slow down. It makes no SCIENTIFIC sense from a psychological or physiological perspective.
