Kent AC joined the Surrey Cross Country League 6 seasons ago for 'competitive reasons' apparently, despite the fact geographically they are not in the region of Surrey as suggested in their club name. It's like the Cavs playing in the Western conference, stupid.
Fair play to them, they've won 6 titles and they walk around like they own the place, but really they belong back in Kent in the Kent cross country league!
Maybe the Kent and Surrey leagues should merge
Maybe all of the cross country leagues could merge and just run one race - we could call it the national cross country championships and hold it once a year?

From my experience, people who run for Kent AC are big posh sods with plums in their mouths, and the plums have mutated and they have got beaks. They make pigs smoke. They feed beef burgers to swans. They have big sheds, but nobody's allowed in. And in these sheds they have 20ft high chickens, and these chickens are scared because they don't know why they're so big, and they're going, "Oh why am I so massive?" and they're looking down at all the little chickens and they think they're in an aeroplane because all the other chickens are so small. Do they deny that? No, I think their silence speaks volumes.
But apart from that, yeah, those guys can really run....
So basically Clapham Chasers, but a bunch of proper club runners.

I mean technically, they are not based in Kent either. So the name is a red herring here.
Should they even be called AC (Athletics Club)? Other than Jack Green, the distance running lot and going to Wetherspoons, what else does the club do?
its not unusual in uk sport i play cricket in the Hampshire league and have played many games in Sussex and also the isle of white ( i also know the very lowest league have games on the isle of white and sussex)

When I was a London student we used to race in the 'London Colleges League' against ... Oxford Poly. Ian Manners used to win the races.

You have a point, Surrey and Kent are in England.
London Colleges League includes other clubs outside London, such as University of Reading.
In the Hampshire League Reading (Berkshire) and Bournemouth (Dorset) compete and have hosted races. Chichester (Sussex)compete and have hosted races at Goodwood (also in Sussex). Other clubs outside of Hampshire which compete in the league include Poole (Dorset), Wimborne (Dorset), Salisbury (Wiltshire), Camberley (Surrey) and Farnham (of Aldershot, Farnham & District fame) is also Surrey - perhaps that doesn't count though if the club is fully based in Hampshire. People sometimes compete from the Channel Islands (I've seen Guernsey and Isle of Wight in the results).
Arguably many of the Surrey clubs are London (Belgrave, Thames Hare and Houses, Ranelagh, Croydon, all Clapham and Wimbledon clubs are all in Greater London. Should the Surrey League be restricted to Epsom, Dorking, Reigate and a few others?

Kent is south-east of London. Surrey is south-west. The furthest east part of Kent to the furthest west part of Surrey is just over 100 miles. Kent AC isn't very far east though, so I doubt the runners usually have to travel more than 50 miles.

The Surrey border used to be quite close to what we know as Central London today. So bear that in mind too. But it definitely didn’t go as far as Kent.

Are the Surrey trials going to include outside runners too, so that they can get to represent Surrey at inter-County level because they aren't in their home county's team selection? Might as well have a Southern Counties league and have done with County representation altogether.

Much of Surrey supports Manchester United despite the fact geographically they are not in the region of Surrey as suggested in their club name
