I'm a pro runner from Romania and i'm determined to make it to Tokyo. I quit my job so that i can fullt commit to it. I'm going to update this thread daily with my training log. I really hope to have an impact in Tokyo and remember that one for a lifetime !

I did. However, i can rejoin if i want. I feel i can destroy these times later this year. I also have a 2:33 marathon after going out in 1:07 first half which i'm not proud of. I'm on 85 mpw currently, increasing to 100 and peaking at about 120 during late summer. My goal this year is to run a sub 2:15 and qualify for Tokyo.

The federation chooses who goes but you must have a sub 2:17 marathon until a deadline. Sub 2:15 seals my place.

i'm a big fan of coebra, and i hate to do it to em, but you've got more of a chance than he does. How's the olympic trials in romania? Sounds like you have more of a chance using the half marathon to qualify than the full? (is that how it works over there?)

Unfortunately no, you have to prove your value at the distance. With the half i can qualify for the World Half. I don't worry there is a lot of time and i lacked training. Now i have lots of time for ideal training and recovery.
I'm off for my run. Easy today, 16 km at 4:45/km

First of all there's no "trials" in Romania. Secondly you can't use a half marathon to qualify for the Olympics.

Here is a very nice marathon training program you might want to use ...
Spot on, i just need to make sure i get a time fast enough to qualify. Ended up running 16k @ 4:42 pace. Fairly hot + 21C, felt relaxed. I also have a coach, former 2:12 marathoner, i think he would be world class if he had better athletes to train.
Good luck, you still have lots of time and plenty of room for improvement so there's a great chance you do it
Today i'll run this workout : 3km warm-up @ 5:00/km + 20x400m @ 77s/lap with a 400m lap in 125-130s between reps + 3 km cool-down @ 5:00/km . Total : 22km
