Im a freshman In college. I am coming off a 4:36 mile in indoor as well as my first 1500m last week where I basically soloed a 4:19. Brief background- Im 19, run around 45-50 mpw. One speed session, one longer distance workout a week.
Yesterday I ran what my coach called broken 800's. His version looked something like this
Goal was 6x (500m @ 1:25 - 100m jog into the 300m @48)... 2 Minute rest after. What do you think I Can run in a 1500m competitive race ?
My times as followed
(1:20,51) (1:25, 51) ( 1:28, 52) (1:26, 50) (1:26, 49) ( 1:23, 47) This workout was interesting and really hard , 100m rest right into 300m hurt and it didn't help it was pretty windy out. Thanks for reading!
