Taylor is such an incredible athlete. Think about it. He's faster at 400 than Nijel Amos.
Anyone know when Jackson unretired?

WOW, Calvin Smith is well into his 50's -
A shame to see Manteo Mitchell running 47.60 after he finished a relay for the U.S. on a broken leg years ago. Did the leg ever heal properly after that? Good luck to him.

Maybe it's his son, or just someone who coincidentally has the same name.

Guessing Harris had an off day if he only beat Dejon Devroe by 0.07 -
Harris always looks heavy on his feet. His times have been solid this year but only one time at 1:46.

I had the same thought. He got a lot of points with me as a fan for that. Bone breaks mid 400 and you finish? Ridiculous. Definitely have been pulling for him to get back up there since then.
Christian Taylor now is part of Tumbleweed TC? I've only been able to find women's sprint results from this team in the past. Any info on this? -

Lmao yes it’s his son -
Bershawn Jackson is a has-been. Well past his prime. Not a factor anymore, and he was only on top for a few short years under 48. If he'd been running during the 80's, he would've NEVER medaled in a major international.

I wouldn't really call that a fair critism. Outside of Felix Sanchez in 2001-04, no 400m Hurdler in the 21st century is consistently fast enough to medal in the 80s. Edwin Moses dragged everyone to fast times; there is no other male track event where the top 3 from 30+ years ago are still competitive today. Heck, even some of the guys 4th and 5th in the 80s would win medals today.
But Bershawn Jackson did have a very inconsistent career. He ran 47.3s a few times and went under 48s in well over a dozen other occasion, so the peak of his career was pretty good. His issue was always his mechanics and rhythm. Hurdles is a thinking man's game, and Jackson never seemed intelligent enough to manage or understand the training and complex race plans. He just ran ugly and never counted strides, it randomly worked in 2005 and 2010, but most of the time he just got hurt. A better head on his shoulders and he may have challenged the world record.
