you're right, he does. looks heavy, as though he still has a lot of miles in his legs and is short on speed work, which would explain why he hung back in 6th place until the rabbit's dropped out and never really had a kick to speak of.

and, that tall lad in 3rd place, Jeff Riseley (Aus) 3:38.75, his action reminds me a lot of Craig Mottram. maybe it's an Australian thing.

I imagine Centro was supposed to run this one. I wonder how he would have done. Mathews is fit. Probably would have beaten Centro. Expect big things from Mathews outdoors.

Maybe from running on Hokas? Excessive dorsiflexion needed to get over rocker? Obviously not in spikes, but from training could affect his form.

Well, seeing how it’s late March and he has nothing to peak for, he’s probably not super sharp at all right now. This was probably Merber’s best outdoor opener timewise. This was a solid race for him and if he keeps this up, he’ll be running a few seconds faster this summer.

And I see I wasn't the first to pick that up...
