Who are some of the best middle distance coaches on the west coast? I know Stanford has a good program and their coach is new, but what about other schools?

I would say Sandoval at Cal, UC-Irvine, Metcalf at UW
Peterson at UCLA is putting up good numbers right now. Metcalf (UW) and Gerard (Stanford) I would agree with as well. Mark Conover at Cal Poly is definitely worth a shout.
Steve Scott cal state san marcos. HE can obviously take any guy with talent and make him into a great middle distance runner. He has been there himself before so he knows what it takes.
Sandoval at Cal, joke right? THE worst XC school in the pac 10 bar none year after year for the last 15 years. That aside. Conover at CPSLO does more year after year!
G Towne at Chico State.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV "TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
dude, he said Middle distance, not XC. Tony actually has had decent results both lately and historically in that regard (800/1500), look at the women's 800m results from Pac-10's.
you're right about XC, though. conover is the man out here right now.
Louie Quintana at ASU. Check results this year.
What part of MIDDLE DISTANCE did you fail to understand?
larry greer of golden west college in huntington beach.
My bad on the "middle" distance but please, Jarivs was the FIRST cal women in 15 years to win a running event at the pac 10's FIFTEEN YEARS! Sandoval should haven been canned years ago. Go Bears!
Unless "Jarivs" is more than one person, it's "womAn".
