If the NCAA recognizes conversions for track sizes in terms of qualifying, which time would you count for school records and PRs? The time the athlete actually ran, or the conversion?

comversions should never be used as records

For f*ck sakes - I hope you aren't serious.
This is worse than Island... he runs a workout that his "coach" thinks predicts a certain 5k time, so that becomes his 5k "PR."
It’s the actual time you ran. For instance, if you ran a 4:16.08 mile, that would be a 4:16.08 mile, not a 4:12.86.
Not just the conversion. You also get to subtract time for wind, running in lane 2, lack of rest from previous races, and uneven pacing. That's your real PR.
Don't forget that you should add .24 seconds back if it was a handheld time vs FAT
Just give yourself a new PR for every track size and configuration.
I had a teammate brag about his PR that included the conversion and nothing I could say would change his opinion about it.. Doesn't surprise me though.
THE TIME YOU RAN IS THE PR. its like saying you ran a 2:00 800 with trainers so its actually a 1:58. Sure you prolly would have went 1:58 with spikes but you didn't.
If you're talking to fellow runners, then use your actual time. If you're talking to a non-runner, your PR can be whatever the f*ck you want it to be.

Seriously? Prolly?
My 5,000m pb is 15:57. Can I convert it to 12:37, and just call that my PB. If I just convert my body into Bekele's, it should be fine. I just need to learn how to shape-shift. We already have shape-shifting lizards, so maybe I will get them to teach me.
A lot of you are thinking this question is a joke, but it's a legit one as I've seen universities use conversation times for record purposes. For example Minnesota state does this. But to answer the question i would say no you can't say your conversion time is you PB because you never actually ran that time.
