murphy SHOULD be in trouble, but middle distance runners are idiots tactically so i bet he gets off the hook.

Did anyone see what happened to Cas?
Hutchings' playing off technical snafu's like it's nothing is refreshingly competent.
Aaaannnd... Clayton Murphy goes home devastated!
led thru 400 and then stepped off just after 500. Basically looked like a rabbit. No word on whether he pulled the giant fork out of his back before or after stopping.

This stream is working better, but they are showing ice hockey?
http://nowwatchtvlive.net/watch-nbc-sport-networks-live-online-nbc-sport-networks-usa/LRC claims they will show the meet:
How to watch: Online, NBC Sports Gold (which requires a subscription) will stream live coverage from 3-7 p.m. ET on Saturday and 2:30-7 p.m. ET on Sunday. On television, NBC Sports Network will air live coverage from 5:30-7 p.m. ET on Saturday and 5-7 p.m. ET on Sunday.
IT WORKS
TV broadcast has different announcers than NBC Gold broadcast and is showing some stuff that was earlier (800s)
I'm assuming both will show 3ks.

In lieu of any other live stream (NBC GOLD not available anywhere outside the US), am hoping for some decent play by play here. Thx in advance...
No problem. For those of you without gold., here is a quick recap of the women's 800 heats.
With only the heat winner guaranteed to advance, there wasn’t much room for error in the 800 heats today. Nonetheless, thing went exactly according to form as the six fastest women in the field on the year - everyone who had broken 2:03 coming in - all made tomorrow’s six person field.
Heat 1
Ajee Wilson took the lead as expected, hitting 200 in 28.14 and 400 in 59.94. At 400, the top 3 of Wilson, Hanna Green and 2016 Olympian Chrishuna Williams were well clear of everyone else. Much slower third lap 1:32.07 and green nad Wilson start to pull away. Wilson wins easily.

Heat 2 - 27.39 1st 200 for Rogers. She kept the hot pace going - 57.42 for 400 - when started to gap the rest of the field. 1:28.03 for Rogers at 600. Wow. She never let up even though she had a massive lead and ended up breaking 2:00!! Will that waste of energy cost her in the final?

Anyone else notice on the NBCSN broadcast Masback was talking about it in past tense and play by play guy was talking about it live.
Beautiful moment between Mahler and Taiwo at the conclusion of the heptathlon with. Mahler resting his head on Taiwo's broad chest. No doubt a little altitude manlovin is on the cards later tonight.
Why does USATF give NBC the broadcasting rights to this? It is actually painful to watch. They have only shown one heat of each event.

Seriously, NBC - You can use metric when calling the field events. It's more than okay!

Who do you want to do it? ESPN?
NBC does the Olympics. They are invested in track and field.
Way to go NBC Sports Gold using split screen to show running and field events simultaneously. They even had a three way split earlier.
2:29.30 at 800 in women's 3k. This works up well for Houlihan.

At 1200, Paquette started to gap the field so COburn went around and made sure she covered the near 10 meter gap.
