Anybody running in Asics Roadhawks? Thoughts?

I'm not really a runner yet (more like a walker/hiker), and I'm not hardcore or experienced.

That said, I really like these shoes. I find them extremely comfortable, lightweight, dry easily, with good ventilation. I have a notoriously difficult time finding shoes that have enough cushioning and support, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

A few thing though:

My pair did this weird thing where on the upper weave, a smallish hole formed in the material right above the big toe. Doesn't affect performance at all, it's just a strange flaw.

Also, the laces are quite short, so maybe replace them if you double knot.

Buy them. I have tried them on several times, and loved everything about the shoes. I’ve been holding off to buy them because of the price point.

Well, at the time that I tried them, their retail value was 100.00, which isn’t that bad for a running shoe. However, I knew that I would be able to get them a lot cheaper down the road. I just ordered a pair a couple of days ago on amazon for 49.00.

Most of the sole has a quality amount of rubber on it, and the tread provides a good grip of the surface. It’s flexible and light, with solid structure in the heel counter and middle section of the shoe.

The shoe is in the same category as the NB Zante, brooks pure flow, Nike elite 8, saucony kinvara, etc. it’s pretty much a hybrid neutral that can be used for tempo runs, long runs, speed sessions. It’s also light enough to race in.

What about sizing? Did you need to go half-size up? Fit comparisons with Pegasus, Wave Rider/Sayonara, or Freedom ISO would be useful. Thanks!

I didn't have to size up. They had a regular fit for me.
