You obviously know that it is pretty good. 4:30-9:40 would be very good. There are the occasional 4:20-9:20 freshmen who are national class.
Why do you say "should be"? What are you running now?
Indoor 4:45/9:35 (for 3000). Only been training for six months, and that was only my second track race ever (indoor or outdoor) so I'm still learning strategy, tangents, how to really race, etc.
