Great run for Edward. Anyone know what the flat track WR is? Of course back in the day on those tight Millrose tracks those guys were flying.

Race details (in actuality, I was taking the times below from the broadcast. You might want to subtract about a quarter second from them as when he finished i thought it was 3:54).:
Cheserek and Engels have gapped the field 400 into the race. 57 high for 409. They are flying!!!
126 at 609.
Cheserek is on the heels of the rabbit. Engels is having trouble sticking on ches.
155 high at 809!! 4 meter gap to Engels. Engels should go all out for the 1500 split as he's dying big time.
me.
My GOD. What' teh flat track WR? Ches is crushing everyone.
254 mid at 1209!!!
324 mid at 1409. He's looking over his shoulder.

I'm honestly surprised someone has this list.
The guy has always been a stud. Just proving how good he really is. Hope he gets citizenship soon. Like to see him competing for the USA.

Marceli was chasing the world indoor record in 92 and blamed the flat track at the Mobil 1 meet for not getting it that day.

Squires list is wrong. O’Mara ran 3:52 in Arkansas ( 200m flat track ) in 1986. I know. I was second in 3:55.91
Somebody didn’t do their homework..

I don't. I'm sure I am not alone either. The more people like this run and succeed for the USA the less I watch.
Faster than today’s Wanamaker mile too
Hunter broke his toe in Boulder but is back training again.

Men’s mile
1. Frank O’Mara 3:52.30. 2. Doug Consiglio 3:55.91. 3. Paul Donovan 3:56.39.
No link youngster. No internet back then. Nice review in T and F on the race. Or check out John McDonnell’s excellent book ( The Most Successful Coach in NCAA History) for an even better description of the race.
“ no link to results or it didn’t happen “ give me a break dude. Have some respect.
