I'm running my first 3000m this weekend indoors and though my initial plan was to go for sub 10:15, now I've decided to go for broke and try for sub 10. Have had some good workouts leading up to the race, maybe not indicative of sub 10, but no one remembers a coward.
So, how should I pace this, is even pacing better even though 3:20/km is quite uncomfortable for me? Or should I go 3:20 first k, 3:25 second and then kick for sub 3:15 on last lap?
3:25 is def more comfortable for me and quite confident I can finish strong with at least a 35s lap.
