Do you think the US drinks more fluid ounces of Coke or Budweiser? My guess is Coke because I know plenty of people that have several cans everyday and a 2 liter sitting at home in the fridge. Plus at work you've got soda machines but no beer machines. On the other hand nobody goes home and pounds a case of Coke, while some guys do that every weekend with Bud. In moderation, Bud is probably better for you too.
My guess is 8.5 Billion Gallons of Coke are consumed in the US each year.
I think to have a fair comparison you would have to through out the under 16 age group. I see a lot of those kids drinking coke over beer. You couldn't throughout the entire under 21 population because of all of the college kids and their relentless alcoholism. This way Bud is on an even playing field.
If this were the case, i'd take Budweiser as most consumed.

It doesn't seem fair to throw out all of the under 16, but keep all of the under 21 - i.e. keep 17-21. Why not count every man, woman and child?
Coke wins hands down. Budweiser is an ok beer, but I by far see more people drinking other beer than Bud.
Not sure if you are interested in options, or if you have a bet, which it kind of sounds like you do....anyways, you can look this up if you want, it probably states these figures in each company's annual reports (MD&A section).....since I don't really care that much I'm not going to do that research but you can find them on their website or at www.sec.gov if you have a bet or something. On an overall company basis, Coke had $22 Billion in sales last year and Bud (actually their parent company A-B) had $15 billion. You would have to figure out however how much of that was US income vs. worldwide (Coke in particular has a lot of foreign sales). Also, a lot of that is from products that aren't Coke or Bud, for example Bud Light actually outsells Bud and is the best selling beer in the world.
good info, Info. another factor, however, is that coke is much less expensive per unit than budweiser, especially in the 2-liter bottle. a more important number would be volume sold.
