Funny. I like the sarcasm on these posts. Good humor. The reality is that we all have a pretty good pulse on the races. Most people on here get it. That's why I participate. The correction on grammar I see is just part on the back and forth.

Just saw an interview with him in Kentucky. He is racing again next week and then new balance. This would be his 8th race of indoor. Does anyone think that racing every weekend is good for this kid? I know he and his coach are chasing a sub 4, but seems unhealthy and contrived to use pro races to pace him.
How many more races? wrote:

No, best to take the BTC approach and only do 4 races a year.
He’s going to Oregon, right?
Oregon had Ches do 5 races in 24 hours. What’s 8 races in 8 weeks?
He should honestly just try to break 4 during outdoor season at this point.
Yes it is probably too much but he will be just another guy on Oregon’s team next year while he could be in the record books this year.
I am also sticking with my prediction that he would like to go pro next year so he will do everything he can this year to try to hit 3:57.
How can he go pro when he isn't even the best high school runner this year. Keep in mind he gets beat in every head to head competition with high school runners, except for the 2 mile last year at new balance. Most of the good distance guys in the country don't even run indoor. He isn't going pro. He is going to Oregon where he will be fifth in their rotation. I would watch for burnout too. He is running a lot races this season.
Read more closely, “he would like to go pro”. I agree that he won’t make it but he is trying to follow in Hunter’s footsteps.
He is racing a lot but you have to keep in mind that he's not racing for his school. I'm sure once he's done with his indoor racing season, he will lay low and focus on going after times in May/June.
He doesn't have to worry about a lot of team meets in March/April so he can periodize things differently.

Like Predictor wrote - “he would LIKE TO go pro”. Moran!
Ever heard of indoor high school stars by the name of Drew Hunter, Ed Cheserek, Grant Fisher, D.J. Principe, Alan Webb, Robby Andrews, Michael Slagowski, Brandon and Sean McGorty, Lukas Verzbicas, Noah Affolder, Cooper Teare, Reed Brown, Casey Clinger, Matt Centrowitz, Thomas Ratcliffe, Alex Ostberg, Levi Thomet, and on ad nauseum? Moran!
Yeah- horter ran his first indoor race and won last weekend. Where is troutner in indoor, Hengst? Hoey has run a couple of races. Nobody focuses on indoor like brentwood Moron. Hunter didn't run every fricking weekend of indoor season against pros to break 4 mins. Where is loudon valley in indoor? Very quiet for them because they don't care about indoor. Only Hasty's private coach cares about indoor. Moron.
Hasty racing again this weekend for the mile buster. Anyone else bothered that he would would skip his state indoor meet and fly to Boston to use pros as a rabbit? Heck- this guy isn't even loyal to his private club team, not to mention his high school team. Good luck at Oregon. Why can't he run sub 4 min at his state meet against high schoolers? Oh I forgot. He's too good to run with high school kids.
How could he run in the high school meet? He's not on the high school team.
Living up to his name.
I hate to say this about a kid but he won't cut in the pros if he ever makes it. His attitude is all wrong and his arrogance will catch up with him. He will be the problem child of every group he joins from college to the pros, will buckle under the pressure of getting smoked by his training groups in future. He wants to be the big fish in the small pond and college/pro life will trample on that attitude.
His high school state meet is unsanctioned and the closest competition would be Thompson anyway. Boston is a much better bet, and flights from Nashville are pretty reasonable.
Good for Hasty that he is doing what he wants, when he wants. Guess what -- all those LetsRun detractors will be conveniently touting his greatness IF he pulls off the big milestone-buster this weekend; if not, they'll continue ripping the dude via the laptop while sitting in their underwear in front of the TV, each with a beer in one hand and block of cheese in the other. Mmm, good!
No, that's not right. Even if Hasty breaks 4:00, his detractors will continue detracting, because the art of the anonymous put-down on LetsRun is sacred. Take it from me, Marco Incognito, one's self-worth is based upon the combination of a keyboard and a message board that allow anonymous posting. Add the negativity factor in, and the cheese and beer tastes even better! Mmm, better!
Go, Brodey, Go! Sub-4? You have it in you. If you don't reach it, bravo for trying. If you reach it, bravo for trying.

And makes sense.
Therefore it is not allowed to be said on this forum.
God, I was in races with this kid his freshman and sophomore year in high school running in middle TN. Definitely not a class act, definitely in it only for himself, never acted like he could give a rat's ass about his team. His coach and parent's slavish desire for success tore apart a good rival school and turned it into paid private coaching for fast kids in Tennessee. Y'all probably can't fathom how much it sucked to get beat and have your coaches ask you why you couldn't run with those fast guys. The reason is because 50mpw in high school is what it takes to get a good GPA and be emotionally healthy, word on the street is Brodey is dumber than a sack of rocks. Running 100mpw kills brain cells, he'll never make it at Oregon.

Do you have any idea at all how whiny and bitter you sound?
