Ran the 1000m twice this indoor season and got my time down to a 2:47 yesterday. Last year I was running 3:07 so my 800 PR time is kind of irrelevant. Trying to get under 2:04 for the 800m this outdoor season, any advice?
Couple of recent workouts
1/2 - 8x200m @ 28 (2 min rest)
1/15 - 6x800m @ 2:35 (2 min recovery)
1/22 - 3x300m @ 40, 40, 41 (3 min recovery)
Been doing very low mileage, about 25mpw cause it's been an extremely cold winter for us. I was doing 45-50mpw during cross country, not sure if it'd be a good idea to increase it again during the spring season or not.
All of these workouts were very difficult but I hit the times we were looking for.
