Who are the fastest collegiate distance freshmen (and no kenyan "freshman" that should have already graduated and been married for 5 years)?

Jimmy Wyner (Colgate via Mainland HS in NJ) has posted some excellent times in the 800/1500!!
Wyner goes to Cornell.
1:48 and 3:46. Also ran on Cornell's 3rd place 9:33 Penn Relays DMR. 1:48 split.

Iwas completely off about the Northeast school. He attends University of Washington.
My bad, I meant Cornell!
Leonel Manzano - 3:42
McDougal was excellent during cross. But I think he's be injured for the track season.
the manzano kid has a great collegiate career ahead of him.

obviously not the fastest but both solid, especially martinez after a poor CC season
What? That's not good. You've got to get out of Ohio and see the rest of the country.

Dude. Those times almost make Kevin M's top 5 Frosh lists .... what are you complaining about?
What did you run as a freshman in college? I ran 14:50. Props to the OSU kids for starting off their careers with a bang.
chris spooner - 3:47 1500m in early april

LIST
If we're talking actual freshmen in college, not eligibility/redshirting wise, Withrow would top the 5k list (as jew pointed out) and Christian Wagner is also in there with his 14:04.
Yeah, I didn't really think of those guys since they haven't technically competed as collegians yet.
Well if you want to get technical the "fastest" freshman would be the one that runs the fastest 60/100m.
Garrett Heath 13:56.40
jeffrey tufts of colgate
Victor Gras is a French citizen I believe, so True would be next on that list. (3:46.8)
