speaker of hard truths- thanks lol, you are right for sure since I'm focusing on middle distance even though I would love to see improvement in my sprint times
stater of the oblivious: that is a very good question; I unfortunately am not very knowledgeable on form, especially with regards to the curves; I'm not sure if my form on the curves is hindering me or not. All I can say is I start tying up a bit in the last 50m of the 200m; I should maybe film myself sprinting and see if I can detect something wrong (which there probably is but I can't pinpoint it at this moment)
Bob Schul: lol, I promise I'm not trolling; I had read up quite a bit on 800m training before I fully got into running because the physiology of distance training is interesting to me and I was beginning to like running a lot already. I raced an 800m a couple of months after I started running adn that's what I based my 800m pace work off of. My PR is 2:30 but I'm certain I'm in better shape than that right now, not sure exactly by how much though
yxhx: you're probably right, I did feel myself tying up a bit in the last 50m, not sure if that's supposed to happen in addition to slowing down a tad naturally.
askhoustonmctear: I'm actually quite the opposite lol, pretty lean but might be full of myself and actually be scrawny. I'm 5'10 and around 140-145 lbs
Appreciate the replies so far guys, been very helpful and am eager to know what else I can do to improve my sprint speed while training for mid distance. Thanks again!
