I have a few pairs of old shoes from high school, like Nike Air Flow and Air Sock Racer(1980’s)and some shoes, like the Nike Ghost from old races. I obviously don’t wear them anymore but I still hold on to them. I get rid of 99% of the worn out shoes but there are some I will hold on to.
Anyone else have some cool old shoes?

Onistuka Tiger Bangkoks from 9th grade year (hand-me-downs from my brother, as my parents weren't going to invest $10 in a pair of running shoes until they saw that I was going to stick with this running thing)
Onitsuka Tiger Spartan/Jayhawks (re-soled a pair of Spartan spikes with the honeycomb Jayhawk sole)
Nike Vainquere (re-soled with a Nike Elite waffle sole)

I had a job at the time and they were quite pricey.

Any chance you can post a photo of the Vainquere with the Elite sole? This sort of hack job was always a dream of mine.
I have a few pair of Tiger Jayhawks (flats; black, white, with gold stripes from mid 80s) including one new in the box pair that I will be buried in. I have a pair I still run in from time to time, and a couple others that are shot, but good for casual wear or just to leave laying around to remind me of the good old days. Have a pair of Tiger Sprytes (bright yellow, blue stripes) and Nike Vengeance that have been relegated to casual wear. Have a mix of original Air Mariah's and re-released ones with a couple of the latter stashed away. Reebok re-issued the World Best flat (loved those) so I snagged a couple of those for safe keeping. Still on the hunt for Brooks Conquest (flats, black, white, silver) from late 80's. My kids are not going to be thrilled to find out their inheritance consists of old running shoes.

I was able to sell off a portion of my collection last year and paid for a year of my daughter's college.
