I've recently been interested in moving down in distance and trying out the 800 and possibly the 400.
I was wondering how, if at all, your foot strike changes as you run the shorter distances. Does a fore-foot strike happen naturally because you're wearing spikes or do sprinters/800 m runners consciously make an effort to land at the front of their feet?
Also is it okay if on a front foot landing you take off again without your heel touching the ground at all?
(I'm a mid-foot striker and want to know if I should change)
