Seriously her shorts bother you? Do you take any issue with 100 high school teens running basically in their underpants? She is a grown woman. Its okay to shiw some leg when running events but not when you're living your life?

but this post is from her Instagram account...
Get over it. Her legs speak for themselves. Emma has a decent sense of style, casual works here.

Right, gramps. In 1957 that would have been a questionable outfit. Not even slightly revealing by today's standards. M.A.G.A!
Wrong. Good morals don't change with time!
WTF do morals have to do with wearing shorts?
Like it or not this is not a good image for a woman to be putting out there if she ever wants to work in the sport later on (i.e. not running-say wants to be a journalist) People can say it's appropriate/inappropriate, regardless it will harm her future career.
Easily one of the lamest threads in letsrun history. She looks fine and is a great ambassador for the sport. She’s also the world champion, so in terms of running she’s already more professional than any other athlete at these meets. Plus she looks very relatable, which is good in an environment around a bunch of potentially socially awkward high school kids. Give it at rest, if you’re complaining about this you’re probably one of those kids who told on your friends in school. -10/10.
One vote here for she looks fine ‘
I was at FLN and I can that of all the NB athletes there (they all did a great job working with the kids) Emma was the best. She took her role as an ambassador and coach (yes the elites are called regional coaches) very serious. She spent a ton of time with the kids going over the course the day before - helping them get ready before the race - keeping her kids calm - and during the introductions (kids jog out then wait at the start line as the other regions are called) she was running back and forth to the team area getting drinks and what ever the kids needed. I think that for all she did that weekend I am sure NB will overlook her shorts. In all the different HS events with elites (NXN, FL, Brooks) she ha the most interaction with the kids.

Shorts are considered business attire in San Diego. I'm a partner in a medium-sized local law firm and I wear a t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops or running shoes to the office frequently. I know a guy who is managing partner of a billion dollar plus PE shop and he dresses the same way.
Cool story
New Balance commented on the offending instagram post, and it seemed supportive, though i'll admit i'm not always 100% sure when it comes to emoticonjis.
This thread is allowed to stay but the Alex Kosinski one was removed?
Great legs. Me likely!
You--definitely not "likely."
You guys are right. I'm sorry. Let me personally apologize to Emma by saying: You go, girl. Whatever feels right. Pot will be legal everywhere soon and then America will be safe for lawyers in board shorts and flip flops.
Here instagram feed is all about showing off her body. Which is exactly what I'd do if I could.
Ah the bizarre world of sexism. Random guy on internet is mad at female professional runner for wearing shorts at a running event. Because who wears shorts to a running event, right!?
Literally no one cares about your crazy ideas of what a woman should wear and when. Get a life.
Seven pages of everyone feeding the troll? Obviously was meant to ruffle some feathers rather than real commentary.
OP has issues. It's not like this is a black tie affair. What do you want her wearing, a Hillary Pant Suit? When you have legs like hers, wear those short shorts. It's not like she is trying to sell Rolexes. She is selling shoes and running clothes to people who train in sports bras and short shorts. Her attire is completely reasonable for selling running attire (although she could be rocking some New Balance Accelerate 2.5" shorts instead).
Oh, another thread on LRC devoted to men talking about how a woman looks! Classic!
This thread is garbage. Cannot understand how moderators promote this nonsense. Cannot understand why the brojos or anyone who works for website do not see why this is a problem. No effort to correct things like this.
I've reported the thread, it's obvious this is just a troll or someone with no respect with how women choose to dress themselves.

+1
the typical person opposing your initial topic (whether sincere or not) is of the same character & morals as Al Franken, Matt Lauer, etc etc etc
not really a surprise
