I was 180 lbs when I ran my PRs of 2:04 and 4:36. How fast could I run if I got my weight down to 150lbs?

Also ran 16:50 5K at the same weight.
4:09.6
Was it 185 or 180?

Sorry. Probably closer to 180. Corrected my initial estimate in my post body but forgot to change it in the title.
Are you 6'5" or 5'6"? Your height is relevant.

No, I'm not 6'5" or 5'6". I'm 5'11"
Based on my math you could run a 3:26, give or take a small percentage. Good luck!

One of the depressing things about this site is that someone asks a question and gets joke answers like yours.
OP, once you factor out the derivative's coefficient, you get a reduction of 13 seconds +/- 1.5 seconds. That's just math, you have to do the work.
Good luck.
You can find a calculator on a site called The Secret of Running which might give you some insight. They use physics-based calculations based on watts per kilogram. Problem is that's such a drastic weight loss that your physiology will change.
I dropped that much weight my mile time went from 5:03 to 5:25..
3:50
You're running at a pace of 1.53 seconds per pound. Drop down to 150 and that's 150*1.53 for 230 seconds or 3:50. Drop down to 145 and I think you've got a good shot at the world record.

In theory a 180lb person would run faster if they took off a 30lb vest, but the body doesn't always work the way we'd think it would. Depends on body type(genes) your ideal racing weight might be more around 165 to 170lbs, going to 150lbs might negatively impact your body type more than help.
IMO I'd think you'd run faster at 170 then you would at 150, but that's just my opinion. You might increase injury risk or illness with a 30lb weight difference. Now, if you're like 30% body fat obviously you'll perform better, but if you're currently at 10 to 15% body fat then you won't do much more but likely hurt yourself trying to shave 30lbs from that. You will lose slightly more muscle than body fat amount at 180lbs with 10% body fat than 180lbs at 30% body fat.
This is the right answer

In theory 1% of added weight will mean approximately 6s per mile slower. This was proven to be more or less true in studies on loaded foot marches, so not sure about how accurate that would be here.
Again it’s just theory and not sure how well it works in reverse since you will also be losing muscle.

I bet you could at the very least drop a 4:36 mile.
8/10
I'm skeptical you ran those times. I'm also 5'11" and I could see running sub-5 at 170 without much trouble, but to do 4:36 at 180 you are beginning to push it. The weight conversion for this would make you Olympic-caliber.
6'1, 190lbs
4:13 mile, 14:47 5k
I wish losing weight was that easy and helped as much as it seems. I am around 190 even doing 90-100mpw, Have been under 180, but somehow ran faster being 10 lbs heavier

No, totally doable. I did 4:20 1500 and 2:00.0x 800m in high school at 5'11 180. Also under three in the marathon in my 20s even heavier. I am *not* trying to brag (or justify my slowness), since it's on me for being so overweight. I know that I could have run faster if I would have lost the fat, but it was just too hard for me - I just didn't (and don't) have the will power.
The bottom line is that the weight-conversions you've seen are simply inaccurate. That's what a few of the posters above have already alluded to.
