I've spoken with people that still promote this farce and tag him on facebook stating he has run 2,000 ,when they say they know about the investigations and don't care!
You really have to question the mentality and motives of why people would want to stand with this loser and take selfies and post to social media declaring him an inspiration, when they are fully aware he hasn't run 2,000 marathons and is simply a deluded cheat.
That Yolande woman knows he's a fraud yet still plays along with it.

Most of his cheating seemed to start when he set up this race company, then started claiming he ran all his own races, when he didn't.
But he's also cheated at many other official marathons,
Like Trestle Valley Marathon in Minot, ND. It was cancelled during the race due to snow. Last finisher was around 4 hours. Larry was there and was picked up by the bus along with many other runners. Yet I see it's listed in his marathonmaniacs statistics as having finished.
People seem to enjoy being fooled and taken in by him acting like a "nice guy",
Isn't he simply double counting real marathons (whether he finishes them or not) with his "I Ran Marathons" garbage, where you run on your own, submit the time, and get a medal? Seems easy enough to figure out the scam, and how he can claim marathons in different states at the same time.

Somehow the pair of them have got their "I Ran Marathons" nonsense to count as BQ races, so they sign each other off as finishers, even when not there, and even Guinness accepts this for "records"!

Yes, it's not just at these marathons he organises himself that he's cheating at, but other organised races too.
He claims to have run a marathon in August in Riverside but also claims to have run the Huntington Beach one on the same day. He's not fast and given both the race locations it is physically and logistically impossibe for him to have run both, yet he claims to have.
Are Guinness records completely stupid to accept this nonsense with no proper proof.

With these two, I look at it like this....Anyone who can form a coherent thought pattern and follow an evidence trail knows their "record" is completely bs. No point in even saying anything to their "followers" as you might as well be talking to a wall. They won't listen and, even when presented with hard evidence, will take the side of these two over you.

Yes, Meb was in attendance because (I believe) he is a spokesperson for RnR events. I don't believe (nor would I have any reason to believe) that Meb knows anything of the "suspicious" nature of these 2,000 marathons.

Had someone genuinely done 2,000 legit marathons i'd congratulate them and not be jealous. I'd have no wish to run that much myself as i like doing other things in my spare time apart from do marathons.
Assuming you aren't Larry himself, have you actually read the Marathon Investigation report on him?
Care to respond how he could have done so many races he claims that are logistically impossible, like the six in one weekend? He has cheated literally hundreds of times.
