Shoe Insoles Sliding Around - How to fix?

    I have a pair of New Balance 1500v2's that I just started wearing this week and the insole in one of the shoes is slipping backwards sometimes while I am running, particularly when I run downhill. This is the 5th or so pair of 1500v2's that I've run in and I've never had this issue before.

    I do prefer to keep the insoles in these shoes but the slipping is an issue. Is there some kind of adhesive or other strategy you have used to secure insoles? The insole is just settled loose in the shoe at the moment.

    1. Replace the insert with a sturdier insert from another pair of shoes. Or...

    2. Use double stick carpet tape to place the insert permanently in the shoe. Just make sure you get the insert where you want it before you set the tape. This tape is strong!

    Locktite works like a charm but don’t expect to ever get them out again
